So, India and South Africa are going to Ireland...the dates and everything have been confirmed by Cricket SA! It'll be interesting to say the least and any excuse to laze all day in front of the tele watching my boys is heaven for me.
Polly was named the Cricketer of the Year at the South Africa Cricket awards held in Johannesburg on Wednesday. He beat Makhaya Ntini, Mark Boucher, Jacques Kallis and Ashwell Prince to the award.
My friend Jess went to South Africa a couple of months back and brought me back an ODI shirt and a copy of SA Cricket magazine. I scanned some stuff from it and posted it at my journal, if anyone's interested.
Durban - The roller coaster relationship of one of the country's most glamorous couples is finally over.
Proteas star Jacques Kallis and former Miss SA Cindy Nell, have called it quits after an on-off relationship of more than three years.
Kallis and Nell were still together last week in Johannesburg, but subsequently, Kallis was seen with another woman, known only as Claire.
Nell's agent Kendra Houghton, confirmed that the two were no longer a couple and said they were still good friends. She said the break-up was due to their busy schedules. She denied knowing of a third person being responsible for the break-up and said Cindy "definitely" did not have a new boyfriend.
Nell and Kallis both declined to comment on the split.
The couple broke off their engagement earlier this year, but were still together until recently.
•Meanwhile it has also been reported that Kallis's teammate Herschelle Gibbs and his girlfriend Tenielle Povey have also split up, cancelling their wedding which was scheduled for next year.
Firstly - Nicky Boje has retired - will be replaced by Johan Botha in the test squad.. Didnt see it coming tbh. Andre Nel is having a stint at Essex next year as an overseas player aswell as Johan Van Der Wath at Northants *mumbles about lack of fixtures against these counties at t/b*
Anyways the biggie..
for those of you who havent read cricinfo in a while -
"Rumour of the day: One of the high-profile members of the South African one-day squad is on the verge of signing a Kolpak contract. The rumours have been circulating for weeks, but sources close to the South African team suggest that the bad news will be confirmed soon, with more than 100,000 pounds on the table. We can only tell you that if he makes the move, he'll be one of the stars of the county scene. "
I havent got a clue who this could be.. Pollock perhaps??
Anyways enjoy the test series guys and merry christmas!
